Maria Merkle
ASSOCIATE
Maria (she/her) is an Associate on Vote Rev’s research team. With a background in voter engagement and strategic communications, she is dedicated to designing and implementing innovative tactics to boost voter turnout.
Before joining Vote Rev, Maria served as the National Director of Civic Education at Every Vote Counts, a student-led, nonpartisan organization focused on increasing voter turnout and expanding voter access nationwide. There, she designed comprehensive civic education curriculum kits, with a particular focus on ranked-choice voting, as a part of EVC’s Get Out The Vote initiative.
Maria holds an MA in Public Media with a concentration in Strategic Communications and a dual BA in Political Science and International Political Economy from Fordham University. Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Maria now resides in New York City, where she enjoys wandering the different neighborhoods and exploring the city’s parks.
